Students, help decide what should go in the College’s Bicentennial Time Capsule!

Previous generations of Lafayette students have shared records and mementos of their Lafayette days in three time capsules buried on campus. In honor of the College’s Bicentennial, Lafayette will be adding a fourth time capsule.

What do you want future Leopards to know about what life was like at Lafayette in 2026?

Leave a suggestion for items you’d like to see added to the 2026 Bicentennial Time Capsule in the suggestion box during the Marquis de Lafayette’s birthday celebrations Thurs., Sept. 3.

Notes:

• Items cannot be larger than 18 x 6 x 6 inches.
• Need inspiration? Visit Skillman Library Thurs., Sept. 3, during the library’s open hours, for a one-day only display of materials from Lafayette’s 1833 time capsule!

During Rivalry Week, the College will return materials from all time capsules—1833, 1932, and 1962—to the South College Cornerstone with the new Bicentennial capsule.
