The beginning of a new academic year brings both excitement and stress. Here are a few suggestions from the Counseling Center to help you THRIVE this fall!
- Set realistic goals and include little rewards along the way.
- Learn to value making lists (and enjoy crossing things off of them).
- Take time to explore the campus and learn about available resources.
- Build connections by limiting screen time and taking in your college experience.
- Prioritize sleep and spending time outdoors.
- Make choices that align with your values.
- Trust your boundaries when navigating challenges.
- Embrace adaptability and give yourself grace when life feels tough.
- Maintain connection with your support systems.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help!
- Lastly, join the Counseling Center at THRIVE 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 10, at Anderson Courtyard to learn more!
