Forrest M. Stuart, Ph.D., who was appointed interim vice president for enrollment management earlier this year, has announced the interim leadership structure within the enrollment management division. Kathleen Williams has been appointed as interim dean of admissions and Shelby Maguire has been appointed interim director of financial aid.

Prior to joining Lafayette in 2019, Stuart served as a leader at several institutions, including as associate vice president at Furman University in Greenville, S.C., director of financial aid at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., and various admission and financial aid positions at Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, AL. Forrest earned his B.A. in human resources management from Birmingham-Southern College, his M.A. in higher education administration from the University of Alabama, and his Ph.D. in educational leadership from Clemson University.

Williams has been at Lafayette since 2018, after holding admissions positions at the University of the Pacific and Seton Hall University. She earned a B.A. in history from Santa Clara University, taught in Japan for a year, and returned to California to obtain her J.D. from Santa Clara School of Law. She practiced law for over 25 years before starting her second career in the admissions world. Her daughter, Abby, graduated from Lafayette in 2015.

Maguire joined Lafayette in 2014, after working in financial aid at Moravian College. She earned her B.A. in political science from Muhlenberg College and her M.B.A. from Moravian. She also received her accreditation in financial counseling through the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education, which allows her to serve as Lafayette’s director of financial wellness in addition to her role as interim director of financial aid. Her husband, Mac, is a 2014 graduate of Lafayette.
